Synology's backup storage process involves a sophisticated approach. Each file is broken down into smaller segments, which are then stored separately from the original file. To manage these segments, Synology creates a cluster map for each backup file and stores it in a dedicated folder structure. The folder path is composed of a combination of numbers, such as 185.com, which is located under the @data\composition\ directory.
